One of the options to pay for your ride is using a regular bank card. But can you use just any card? Let’s check what requirements your card needs to meet for a successful transaction.
The card must be a Visa, Mastercard or Arca issued by a local Armenian bank
The card must have contactless payment enabled (NFC system)
There must be at least 150 AMD on the card balance
Any cards issued by VTB-Armenia Bank, as well as MIR cards, are not supported
Important
Please keep in mind one small detail: your payment might get declined if, during your previous ride, the validator approved the trip but the money couldn’t be deducted. This usually happens due to insufficient funds or banking limits on cashless transactions that you might not even be aware of. In this case, the system will collect the pending fee from last time and show a decline for the current one. What should you do?
Just tap your card once more, and you’re good to go. The system will charge 150 AMD for the first (previous) ride and another 150 AMD for the current one.
All sorted out. Have a wonderful ride
