Great, but how do you get to Yerevan?
You can catch a bus from the airport to Yerevan. Just like all public transport in the city, it’s completely cashless. This means you’ll need to buy a QR ticket via Telcell Wallet or a Telcell Terminal, or pay with a bank card, including Google Pay and Apple Pay (available exclusively on the airport bus).
*The ticket is good for a single trip from Zvartnots Airport to the center of Yerevan or vice versa. Make sure to activate it within 30 days of purchase. The ticket costs 500 AMD, but it’s only 480 AMD if you buy it through the Telcell Wallet app.
How to buy a ticket via Telcell Wallet
If you haven’t verified your identity in Telcell Wallet yet, we highly recommend doing it in advance so you can grab your ticket quickly when you land.
Go to your profile page in the app, tap «Upgrade Status» and follow the simple steps. Verification is fully automated and takes just a few simple steps.
Once approved․
- open your Telcell Wallet app and tap the «Transport» button on the main screen,
- go to «Buy Ticket» and choose the «Airport» ticket option,
- select your payment method, tap «Continue» and then «Pay».
The amount will be deducted, and your QR code will appear. You can always find it under the «Tickets» section on the main page.
How to buy a ticket via Telcell Terminal
The airport is the only place where you can still grab a paper QR ticket. Here is how:
- find a Telcell Terminal at the airport,
- tap «Ticket» on the main screen,
- select «Airport»,
- enter your phone number and tap «Next»,
- choose the number of tickets you need and tap «Next»,
- select your payment method: cash or bank card, insert the cash or tap your card on the POS terminal to finish the payment.
The terminal will print out your one-time paper QR ticket.
How to pay on the bus
To pay for your ride, just hold your Telcell Wallet QR ticket or your printed paper ticket up to the validator’s QR scanner. Once your payment is approved, a green confirmation checkmark will pop up on the screen.
